My 3rd app, kuva post, is currently in review for the Mac App Store. There is online statistics on how long it takes from submit to review, but not much on App In Review time.
Here is what I dig up from my past two apps on first time submission and enhancement.
Everyday Calculator 1.0.0 – 12/16/2012 6:33pm PST 1.5 hours to approve
Everyday Calculator 1.0.3 – 03/13/2013 7:35am PST 5.5 hours to approve
Simple Stopwatch 1.0.0 – 05/13/2013 5:42pm PST 21.5 hours to approve
Everyday Calculator 1.1.0 – 05/15/2013 7:40pm PST 7 minutes to reject
Everyday Calculator 1.1.0 – 05/28/2013 5:42pm PST 20 minutes to approve
Kuva Post 1.0.0 – 12/02/2013 7:21pm PST 21 minutes to reject
Kuva Post 1.0.0 – 12/09/2013 6:27pm PST 4 hours and counting …
In general, if your app doesn’t get rejected within 30 minutes, its a good sign technical wise. The rest depends on Apple soft policies, rules, and how fast they work through your app.
